Old Manor Hotel is no ordinary hotel, built in Georgian times and in the Domesday book this magnificent grade two listed Wiltshire home is now an independent AA 3 star Hotel with bar and restaurant. With views overlooking the Bradford on Avon countryside and beyond this individual hotel is situated on Trowle Common in-between Bradford on Avon and Trowbridge and offers the homeliest of charm and personality that is not found often.
We are an unpretentious rambling collection of farm buildings and in our grounds we have beehives, chickens, wild deer. A couple of Gloucester Old Spot Pigs are also on their way ! A third of our rooms are in the main house with the others being around our yards.
The Hotel is ideal for weekend breakaways and business people alike. With Bradford on Avon , Bath , Trowbridge, Longleat, Stonehenge, Avon Canal, the Cotswolds, Melksham, Castle coombe, Iford Manor, Wookey Hole, Laycock Abbey and more all near by. A memorable hotel also for wedding celebrations and family get together with a great restaurant in the old milking parlour.
Once an old farm house, the rural feeling is vividly maintained but with all the free WIFI “mod cons” one would expect, great food, roaring fires in the winter, a kitchen walled garden and a cosy snug bar to suit those exploring or on business alike. Piping hot water, the comfiest of beds and the sharpest of linen sheets. Original features and a personal feel abound to ensure that when you leave you reset your expectations as to what a hotel could be…we hope !
