Some tips if you have not been before: You will be surprised at how many guests return to us by car and we watch as they try to put pieces of their car back together from the safari. Use the Longleat tour bus, it may be a little extra cost but it will in the short term, save you money.
There is so much to do you would be better off purchasing a two Day Ticket from the Longleat website to do this at your leisure. A lot of people will look at the weather forecast choosing the best day for the outdoors and do the indoors on a different day.

Longleat is playing host to a busy programme of special events and activities to suit all ages this year.
BRITISH HEART FOUNDATION HALF MARATHON – Sunday, March 10th
The British Heart Foundation is staging its first ever Longleat Half Marathon this year. Starting from our unique venue, runners will be able to soak up the amazing views of the Historic House, and enjoy the spectacular wildlife, while making every step count in the fight against heart disease.
ENDURA TREK LIONHEART – Sunday, March 17th
Roaring into its third year, The Lionheart has worked hard to establish itself as one of the UK’s ‘must do’ cyclosportives. Voted once again as one of the top sportives of 2012 by ‘Cyclosport’ riders. This year sees new routes for both the 100km and the 100 mile courses.
MOSHI MONSTERS AT LONGLEAT–
Wednesday, March 27th to Tuesday, April 9th
A fun-packed fortnight of themed activities from the online world of Moshi Monsters! Complete the Moshi Egg Hunt around the Adventure Park, and meet Katsuma, Poppet, Diavlo and Luvli every day, from Wednesday, March 27th to Tuesday, April 9th.
Longleat is also hosting the ultimate Moshi Mash Up Code Breakers Swap Event from March 29th – 31st! Visitors can take part in our mini-tournament for a chance to be the Moshi Mash Up Master!
All activities are free with valid Day Tickets or Annual Passes.
DEADLY EASTER EVENT AT LONGLEAT WITH STEVE BACKSHALL –
Sunday, March 31st to Monday, April 1st
We’re delighted to announce Longleat has teamed up with BBC Earth to create a spectacular new series of Deadly-themed attractions and events including The Deadly Safari which launches at the end of March.
Longleat is turning decidedly Deadly this Easter and there’s only one person to call – Steve Backshall! Come and see him in action on Sunday 31st March and Monday 1st April
FISHING AND COUNTRY SHOW – Friday, June 14th to Saturday, June 15th
Longleat is delighted to host its inaugural Fishing and Country Show featuring a host of fun and informative events and activities. Highlights include live fishing demonstrations, children’s ‘have a go’ areas, free tuition for beginners, casting clinics and angling advice centres, food and shopping villages, a 4×4 driving course and lakeside picnic area.
HORSE TRIALS – Friday, August 30th to Sunday, September 1st
August 2013 will see Longleat Estate host new Two & Three Day Equestrian Events, aimed towards the amateur rider. The event will be unaffiliated and open to all, with sections commencing at 80cm.
HALLOWEEN – Saturday, October 19th to Sunday, November 3rd
There’s a horrifying host of Halloween-themed thrills and chills taking place at Longleat over the October Half-Term Holidays.
Visitors will be able to enjoy everything from ghost train rides and spooky house tours to pumpkin trails, close encounters with giant bats and creepy crawlies and even Halloween-themed fireworks displays.
FIREWORKS – Friday, October 25th to Saturday, October 26th and Friday, November 1st to Saturday, November 2nd
Longleat is once again staging a series of fabulous fireworks extravaganzas!
The first weekend features a spine-tingling display to accompany a specially compiled medley of ghoulish and hair-raising tunes. Plus there’s an equally spectacular display set to classic animal themed music to mark the official Bonfire Weekend in November.
CHRISTMAS AT LONGLEAT – Friday, November 15th 2013 to Saturday, January 4th 2014
Longleat’s Christmas Spectacular is set to be even bigger and better this year with more to see and do than ever before.
Running throughout the festive period, Christmas at Longleat brings together all the magic of the festive season in one amazing day out with everything from the Santa Express and Owls by Moonlight to fairy-tale fun in Longleat House and much, much more.
