Prices shown are for the room (not per person) and include a full English breakfast and VAT at the prevailing rate.

All rooms are ensuite, the Superior, 4 Poster Rooms & Suites have baths and full height showers. The Luxury Rooms have wet rooms with separate baths and walk in showers. Standard Rooms have baths with a hand shower for washing hair. If you require a full height shower, please do not book a Standard Room.

* Room 12 has a full height tiled shower/wet room but NO bath.

Terms & Conditions

A credit card number will be requested to secure a booking but no deposit is taken unless it is a large function or wedding. Written confirmations are not provided unless specifically requested but we can provide a booking/reservation number. All Major Credit Cards accepted (Except Diners Club).

If you should leave without paying we will use the credit card supplied to reserve the room to settle the outstanding account.

If you fail to arrive or cancel within 48 hours of the intended time of arrival (from 2pm on the day) we take the full amount from your credit card. The 48 hour rule also applies to the shortening of stays whilst in residence. Large bookings may require a 7 day cancellation period.

No reduction will be given for breakfasts or dinners not taken.

The room tariff is usually changed in January of each year, although we reserve the right to alter prices at any time.

Any items not paid for on departure may be deducted from your credit card. This includes mini-bar drinks, drinks from the bar, meals, Longleat tickets etc.

Other items may also be charged to your card after departure: any damage discovered subsequent to departure: any consequential loss: missing towels or fittings: lost or non returned keys (£15 each): extra cleaning.

Group bookings are the responsibility of the person making the booking. Any cancellations, damage etc will be their responsibility and charged to them or their credit card.

From time to time we offer special deals. These may only be used at the time of booking and by the guests entitled to them.

Check-in: 2.30-10.30pm. An earlier check-in is sometimes possible if the previous guest has left early and you have arranged it with us. If you wish to arrive early and simply leave your luggage, this can be done by arrangement. If you intend arriving after reception is shut, please let us know as we can arrange for your key to be left in a safe place for collection.

Check-out: 7.15-10.30am Mon-Fri or 8.15-10.30am Sat-Sun. A late check-out is sometimes possible. The cost is £50 per room and it allows you to stay until 2.30pm. This is only possible if the next guest is not due in till later, this can only be done by arrangement. If you wish to check-out before reception opens we ask that you settle your account the night before.

Twins and Disabled Rooms

For those of limited mobility or guests requiring twin beds, rooms 7 & 47 with two 4ft beds are ideal. There is a small parking space next to each room with a short walk to the door and a level walk to the restaurant. Room 47 has disabled access, a wide door, low switches, a low wardrobe rail, a shower with low controls and a seat, levering bars and a special toilet with rails.

Romantic Four-posters

We have 4 rooms with antique 4 poster beds. If you have never stayed in one , now's your opportunity to check out how romantic they are. Two of the rooms have been upgraded to suites. They have new bathrooms, carpets and flat screen TV's.
