Our environmental policy is as an ex farm we feel very close to the ties to our heritage. We try to source all our food products locally and use recycled paper. We no longer for example ask guests to fill out registration cards to save on paper use and the bedside pad is also reduced to help in this regard. While we burn logs we do this as part of our charitable giving policy. We leave our fields to go wild to help the nature, but would also be delighted to have a cow, pigs and chickens on the land so if you know of anyone wanting some grasing please ask them to get in touch. Bees – our three hives have struggled and while we would like to offer our guests our own honey – we hope you enjoy our homemade jams and marmalade’s- please ask Linda for more details, she might be shy but she loves to answer questions on this.
Cars are parked at the owners own risk – we hope to be the last car park to have to put such a silly sign up and have managed fine with out quite well so far.
We run accommodation offers from time to time to encourage new guests to find the hotel who might also dine in the restaurant – if guests dine then we feel its fair. But we can also run food promotions from time to time to encourage new locals to try a new restaurant in the area ( maybe they might stay over). We have tried to be accommodating when asked if the two can be combined but as is stated in the terms and conditions can not be used in conjunction with other offers. We want to help and have tried to turn a blind eye to the odd couple on an occasional Sunday in January but have now had to draw the line and said no to the use of both at the same time.

Georgian people were not as tall as we are now. Should you need a bedroom suitable for a tall person (which is a pity as you will miss the best and most character-full rooms with beams and period features) then let us know.
Pets, we have debated and tried to be accommodating but regret that the odd “bad pup” has let the side down and as a result we now no longer accept pets apart from guide dogs.
