Weddings at the Old Manor Hotel
The hotel is small, individual, and most importantly, unique. As we are not part of a group, we do not work off a wedding menu provided by head office.
We don't tell you what you can have. We ask what you would like.
If you want it we'll try and do it.
Medieval, bangers and mash, a picnic, High Tea, Indian, arrive by helicopter, leave by hot air balloon.
Just ask, we'll give it a go...

at the Old Manor
The hotel itself, is a fabulous Grade II Star Georgian Manor House set in 4 ½ acres and surrounded by rambling restored farm buildings which house the restaurant, bar and most of the bedrooms.
It is absolutely not a corporate/chain hotel. It's owned by Tim Burnham whose passion is restoring old buildings, furniture and pictures, all of which you will see when you visit. Quirky, eclectic or even slightly bonkers are commonly applied adjectives.
The best bit about booking The Old Manor is that you get all the bedrooms on the night of your wedding, so the hotel is exclusively yours. You can either give the rooms to your guests or, better still, sell them on to your guests, thereby offsetting some of the costs.
Don't forget to check out the hotel on Tripadvisor. It's been No1 for Bradford on Avon almost continuously for the past 3 years.
Your Wedding Day
The restaurant and lounge are combined to make one huge room to host your wedding. There is an amazing pub-style bar next to the restaurant, very popular with the gentlemen.
The top table is framed by an enormous carved stone fireplace with all your friends and relations set out in front of you on tables of 8. We can seat up to 100 guests in the day and in the evening up to 140. Beyond the tables is the dance floor and space for a small band or disco.
When you arrive, you can use the grounds for photographs, then go into the marquee which is adjacent to the restaurant, for drinks and canapés or if it is fine simply wander round the gorgeous walled garden in front of The Old Manor.
Food
We suggest a 3 course sit down meal but if you want a buffet, pic-nic, all –day canapés...
Just ask...
You can have most things. If you have a favourite dish, don't be afraid to ask for it. We can also cater for children, vegetarians and people with special dietary needs. We do need to know this in advance.
In the evening we provide either a BBQ or a buffet for a minimum of 70 guests.
Drinks
Welcome Drinks and Toast
Prosecco; House Champagne; Bucks Fizz; Pimms
Drinks with Meal
We suggest allowing 1/2 a bottle of house red or white per person.
Bar
We recommend a cash bar as this reduces your chances of guests over-indulging at your expense. The bar is open from when your guests arrive till midnight.
Wedding Car
Mr Burnham can sometimes be persuaded to drive you to and from the church in his Classic British Racing Green Bentley Turbo.
